| The Gotco Multi-Catch Overshot is an extremely reliable external catch fishing tool designed to retrieve tubular items from the well bore. It can save time and money when removing collapsed tubing, sucker rods, and coiled tubing from the well bores. With the use of a full opening top sub, several thousand feet of sucker rods, coiled tubing, or macaroni tubing may be swallowed and recovered in one trip. |
Construction |
| The Multi-Catch Overshot consists of three external parts: the top sub, bowl, and guide. The durable construction of the bowl provides maximum strength and pulling power. The slip, constructed of heat treated steel and hardened to ensure the best possible grip, allows the overshot to catch a varied range of outside diameters. |
Assembly and Operation |
The overshot must be properly assembled and dressed with the appropriate multi-range slip. When reaching the top of the fish, slowly rotate the fishing string and lower the overshot over the fish to the desired depth. To engage the fish, raise the fishing string and pull. The Multi-Catch Overshot is not designed to be released after engaging the fish. Therefore, it should only be run below fishing strings designed with enough strength to pull or detach the fish it engages. |
